National and State Contract Vehicles

NSI helps companies identify and prioritize national, regional and state contract vehicles to pursue. One of the ways that NSI has generated over $37 billion in new revenue on behalf of our clients is maintaining strong relationships with state and local government, and quasi-government (e.g., Healthcare, Higher Education) buying consortiums. The buying consortiums enable companies to secure state and local government sales opportunities without an additional, lengthy, and uncertain procurement process. Instead, government and quasi-government entities can purchase directly from a company based on a contract that already exists with the buying consortium.

NSI supports all efforts to pursue prioritized contract vehicles, including developing relationships, strategies, and messaging. This includes:

  • Investigation of best-fit consortiums (e.g., Sourcewell, NASPO, ValuePoint, E&I, etc.)

  • Facilitating introductions to the consortium(s) selected

  • Determining best path forward to create a vehicle with the consortium (e.g., negotiated contract versus RFP)

  • Supporting all communication with consortium

  • Attending any pre-bid meeting and providing any necessary background

  • Helping prepare a response to secure the contract

  • Assisting in training sales teams about the consortium contract

  • Working with the consortium to enlist assistance with initial sales strategy and outreach
